Kobbari Pallila Pachadi / Coconut Peanut Chutney

Coconut chutney and Peanut chutney, both will be very tasty and easy to prepare. For first time I prepared a combination of both, Coconut peanut chutney which is also very easy to prepare. With few ingredients we can make this tasty chutney and it goes very well with idly, upma, vada, Kudumulu and dosa. Tempering is optional. 



Ingredients:
  • Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Peanuts / Pallilu - 1/2 cup
  • Green Chilies - 6
  • Garlic - 2 to 3 cloves
  • Red Chillies - 3
  • Tamarind - small marble size
  • Salt  to taste
For Poppu / Tempering:
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves- 10
  • Oil - 1 tsp
Method:
  • Heat 1 tsp oil and fry  peanuts, garlic cloves and green chillies. Let them cool.
  • In a mixer add coconut, fried peanuts, garlic , chillies, salt and tamarind and grind to paste.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add all the ingredients under tempering and fry until mustard seeds splutter.
  • Add to the ground chutney and serve.
