Mushroom Paratha

Bored of making chapati or roti and thinking what creamy gravy to make? Thinking of thick creamy gravy's, mushroom curries will splash in my  mind. I love juicy mushroom's in gravy. But this time I want to induce the taste of mushroom in chapati by stuffing into it. For mushroom lover's, another simple, easy and tasty mushroom recipe, Mushroom Paratha. Yield: 6 parathas(May vary depending on size)
Ingredients:
  • Wheat flour - 2 cups
  • Mushroom - 250 grams
  • Spinach - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1
  • Green Chilli -1
  • Ginger-garlic paste -1 tsp
  • Red  chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Preparing Dough:

  • In a large bowl mix salt, chilli powder and wheat flour and mix well. Now add chopped spinach and mix. Add little by little water to from into smooth dough. Cover it and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Preparing Mushroom Stuffing:

  • Finely chop onions, green chillies and mushroom.
  • Heat oil in a pan add onions,chillies and turmeric powder. When onions turn transparent, add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes. 
  • Add in mushroom and cook until it become soft.
  • Add chilli powder, cumin-coriander powder, garam masala and salt, mix and cook for 5 minutes. It should become dry.
Preparing Paratha:

  • Divide the dough into equal parts(Gulf ball size) and roll a portion of dough into a circle and place  little stuffing in the center and bring all the sides to the center and seal tightly.
  • Roll the stuffed dough carefully dusting with little flour.
  • Heat a tava / griddle and cook the paratha on both sides using little oil.
  • Repeat this with the remaining dough and stuffing.
