Egg Pulao

Egg Pulao

Some recipes make life easy in kitchen, mainly one pot meal. Today's one pot meal recipe is egg pulao, which is very easy to prepare and taste delicious. If  you have a busy day but want to make some special recipe to satisfy the tasty buds, egg pulao is the best choice. Adding veggies is our own choice. No blender, No garam masala, and No curd obviously less work, but tasty and mouth watering pulao.

Egg Pulao

Serves : 2 
Prep Time : 10 Minutes
Cook Time : 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice - 1.5 cup
  • Eggs - 4
  • Onion - 1
  • Medium size Potato - 1
  • Carrot - 1
  • Tomatoes - 1, large
  • Green chillies - 6
  • Curry leaves - 8
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander-Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Water - 2.5 cup to cook rice
Masala Ingredients:
  • Bay leaf - 2
  • Star anise -1
  • Cardamom - 3
  • Cloves - 3
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch stick  
  • Mace - 1
  • Nutmeg - 1/4 piece
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Preparation:
  • Boil eggs and peel the shell and keep aside.
  • Soak rice for 20 minutes and chop all the veggies.
Method:


  • Heat oil and ghee in a pot, add all the ingredients under masala and fry for a minute on medium heat.
  • Add chopped carrot and potato, fry until they turn little tender and add onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes, add tomatoes, red chilli powder, cumin-coriander powder, eggs and cook till tomatoes turn tender.
  • Add rice and fry for a minute and add  water and salt and cook with lid on till all water absorbed and rice cooked. (Water Must be little salty)
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with raita.
