Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans Stir-Fry

Brussel Sprouts is a cabbage variety and is named after Brussel City as they cultivated first in Brussel. Brussel Sprouts are very rich in vitamin K and C, and nutrients like copper, vitamin B6, Vitamin B1, dietary Fiber etc. If we consume daily they will improve the stability of DNA, Protects from Cancer and by steaming and consuming them will provide cholesterol lowering benefits. They will be little bitter and that can be managed by adding lemon juice.

Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans Stir-Fry

Serves : 2
Prep Time : 5 minutes
Cook Time : 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients:
  • Brussel Sprouts - 1/2 lb
  • Green Beans - 20
  • Onion - 1/2 or Spring onion - 4, chopped
  • Garlic Clove - 1, finely chopped
  • Lemon juice - 4 tbsp or to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
Preparation:

  • Wash Brussel Sprouts and Green beans and trim the edges of the beans and cut off the ends of the sprouts and remove any yellow leaves.
  • Make sprouts into halves, if we want we can again halves as shown in the image and  cut beans into 2 pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and onion and stir for a minute and add sprouts and beans and cook till they turn brown. (If you want onions little crunchy, add after sprouts were half cooked)
  • Add salt and pepper and mix and switch off the stove and add lemon juice and serve.
