Avocado paratha is easy to make and the creaminess of avocado keep the paratha soft.
Yield: 8 paratha.
Ingredients:
- Avocado - 1
- Whole wheat flour - 1 cups
- Salt to taste
- Jeera / cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic - 2 tsp, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Oil - 1tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Preparation:
- Peel the Avocados and mash the flesh to a smooth paste.
- Mix in Lemon Juice, Salt, Garlic, Red chilli powder, Cilantro, Cumin Powder & Oil and Combine.
- Now add wheat flour to the avocado mixture and mix well. Add water if necessary to make a dough.
- Drizzle a few drops of Oil over the dough to coat. Cover and allow the dough to rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Once you are ready to make the parathas, give the dough one more quick knead.
- Heat up a tawa on medium heat and
divide the dough and make balls . - Dip in additional dry flour and start rolling with a rolling pin using Flour to dust.
- Once the Paratha is rolled out and the tawa is hot, place it on the tawa.
- Allow it to cook on both sides.
