Mixed Sprouts Dosa

As we all known sprouts are very good for health. Sprouting process will increase proteins, vitamins, essential fatty acids and fiber in beans and nuts. Eating raw sprouts is good but how you can make our kids to eat them? So try this mixed sprout dosa...

Mixed Sprouts Dosa

One day while I am chit-chatting with my sis, she told me that she made moong beans sprout dosa and it was very taster then normal moong dal dosa. So I want to give it a try and I added some more beans and made mixed sprout dosa which is a big hit with my family. Thanks to my sis as I can give healthy sprouts to my kid.

  • Moong beans/Mung beans - 1/4 cup
  • Chickpeas - 1/4 cup
  • Black Chickpeas - 1/4 cup

  • Wash beans and soak them over night.
  • Drain water and cover the bowl with cloth and don't disturb the bowl or tie them in a cloth so that air circulates and prevent spoilage.
Preparing Sprouts Dosa:

  • It will take two days to get 1 inch sprouts. It is better to have them after they get 1 inch sprouts.
  • Once sprouts appear as shown in the picture wash them gently if need and grind them along with green chillies, Ginger and Cumin seeds/jeera. Don't add too much water. Just prepare like moong dal dosa batter. Add salt and mix.

  • Heat a girdle, when it is hot enough, pour a ladle of batter and spread it. Add onions on top and drizzle a tsp oil.

  • When it is done on that side flip to other side and cook for a minute.
  • Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
